In the above photo the right bank of the Blackwood River is the northern boundary of Blackwood Banks, we would be happy to arrange a canoe trip for you.

Use this central location in the Blackwood Valley as a base to visit Nannup, Margaret River, Augusta, Busselton, Balingup, Bridgetown, Manjimup and Pemberton.
The wineries, caves, beaches
and forests all less than an hour away.

You don't have to wander far to see the myriad of birds that visit, these photo's courtesy of guest Brian Jenkins were taken near the chalet.
The red tailed black cockatoo's visit Blackwood Banks often and the robins, assorted wrens, honeyeaters, thornbills, western rosellas and rainbow bee-eaters live in and around the property. It's a bird watchers delight - ask for our list of sighted birds and bring your binoculars

We are also a hobby farm with sheep, a couple of cows called Marigold and Aggie and some calves. There's Georgy and Lady the pigs, and lots of mischievous piglets. Chooks, ducks, turkeys and a peacock called PC who flew in a while ago and
decided to stay.

We are happy to take the kids out on the back of the trailer with hay to feed the sheep - a few are brave enough to feed out of your hands!

Also we enjoy help with feeding all the other animals too, so bring your welly boots!
